• Daulton Desalvo and Shorty Carter won the Ron's Tackle Box Thursday night bass tournament on Lake Rochelle on Oct. 4 with 10 pounds, 9.75 ounces. James Burkholder and Jerry Mathis were second with 9 pounds, 9.5 ounces. Rick Combee hauled in the big fish of 5 pounds, 10.5 ounces. The Thursday night season is now over and will return in April.

Desalvo and Carter also teamed up to win the won the Sunday Open Series Oct. 7 on the South Chain. They had a 25.5-pound haul that day that included the tournament big bass of 7.1 pounds. Matt Polston and Philip Glenn were second with 21.9 pounds. Trevor Stephens and Tim Trout were third with 17.7 pounds.

• Jim Blume won the Winter Haven Lunker Lovers' tournament on Lake Istokpoga Oct. 6-7 with 19.58 pounds Lamar Middleton had 18.34 pounds for second place. David Glenn was third with 17.77 pounds, and Barry Edie fourth with 17.08 pounds. John Gasperak had the big fish at 8.35 pounds.

• Robby Wright and Travis Clark won the Bass Bandits of Brandon classic on Lake Okeechobee Oct. 6-7 by less than a pound, and took home the club's team of the year honors as well. Wright and Clark had 24 pounds over the two days, edging Tim Parker and Vince Pennington, who had 23.15 pounds. Larry and Clayton Walls hauled in 22.6 pounds for third place. David Walker and Ethan had 18.85 pounds for fourth, and Dave Harrod and Donnie Rooks were fifth with 18.05. Wright and Clark shared big-bass honors on Saturday on the first day with Harrod and Rooks, both teams reeling in a 4.90-pounder. The second-day big bass was a 4.4-pounder caught by Walker and Ethan.

• Dave Troester and James Hazelton won the Florida Crappie Club tournament on West Toho Sept. 22 with 8 pounds, 6.06 ounces, including the tourney big fish of 1 pound, 7.7 ounces. Jack and Tony were second with 7 pounds, 13 ounces.
