From Staff

Although the recent Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5210.56 - Arming and the Use of Force - was recently promulgated, personal weapons policy aboard naval installations (including NAS Jacksonville) remains unchanged.

Personnel are not authorized to carry privately owned firearms for personal protection not related to the performance of an official duty or status.
Personnel in possession of firearms aboard NAS Jacksonville are in violation of 18 U.S. Code § 930.

Consistent with Florida Statute 790.06(12) a.15., Florida-licensed firearms carriers are prohibited from possessing and carrying privately owned weapons aboard NAS Jacksonville.

All violations will be prosecuted to the full extent of state and federal law, and may result in jail time, fines, penalties, seizure of firearms, and debarment from the installation.
