The aroma of smoked turkey legs lured hundreds of E1-E6 single service members and reservists to the open field alongside unaccompanied housing for the Fall Barracks Bash Sept. 22. 

Patrons enjoyed a variety of activities that included inflatable games, such as the Wipeout Obstacle Course, Sumo Wrestling, Gladiator Joust and Twister, a photo booth, mobile zip line, football, bean bag toss, Frisbee and volleyball.

Upon entering the event, patrons filled out MWR satisfaction surveys, received free Fall Barracks Bash t-shirts and entered their names into a raffle prize drawing.

Prizes were given away throughout the evening and included an Apple iPad 4, a $40 gift card to the NEX, a Bose Soundlink Mini Bluetooth Speaker, a Fuji Instax Mini 8 Instant Film Camera, gift cards to Subway, Buffalo Wild Wings, Applebee's and Chili's, a Samsung Sound Bar, a JBL Bluetooth Speaker and a pair of Beats by Dre Studio headphones. 

"My favorite part of the Barracks Bash was the photo booth. I probably took five photos with my friends and everything was free!" said QM2 Elvis Ortiz of NAS Jax.

Special guests DJ Seizure and Young Trajik provided musical entertainment and announced the raffle ticket winners of the evening.

DJ Seizure is a native of Miami, with 15 years of experience as an official disc jockey. Artist Young Trajik's roots are in the state of Ohio and he has had eight years as a performer thus far.

The Wellness Center provided a booth on site, that included information about overall wellness and suicide prevention.

Jacksonville Women's Rugby was also on site and interacted with Barracks Bash attendees.
