Lies, deceit and hypocrisy. These words sum up the current, nauseous political scene. Scandals come and go, but you must admit that past nefarious activities involving sitting presidents seems a bit tame when compared with the current Washington circus.

Now we are numbed by the daily onslaught of lies, deceit and hypocrisy via the "Fox and Friends"/President Donald Trump/Twitter feedback loop, all generated to satisfy the vanity of an executive who wields almost unlimited power and who has thus far garnered the nodding assent and approval of the Congress, as well as the full-throated roar of support offered by the various grifters, sycophants and outright thieves that make up the Cabinet and a good portion of the West Wing staff.

Now, we are bewildered by the cries of "fake news" and the offering of "alternative facts" to satisfy the shifting moods and whims of a narcissist who would gladly destroy the First Amendment so as to enrich himself and his immediate family at the expense of the health, welfare, safety and sanity of the American people.

Lies, deceit and hypocrisy brought to you by the self-proclaimed law-and-order president and his shameful cast.
