NAS Jacksonville military families are fortunate to have numerous travel options available in a close proximity. To showcase all these options, the Tickets and Travel Office held a travel fair March 18.

"The travel fair is held to give the military members a one-on-one experience with vendors to gain knowledge about the products offered through the Ticket and Travel Office," said Julie Kieffer, Tickets and Travel Office manager.

"Without the partnership we would not be able to offer the discount pricing to our military."

A total of 43 vendors set up tables offering information and giveaways ranging. Vendors came from local cities, theme parks and museums in Washington, D.C. A new vendor this year was the Crayola experience in Orlando, Fla.

Attendees were given a passport to get stamped from each vendor. When the passport was full, guest turned it in for a prize. In addition to getting information, guests were directed to the Tickets and Travel Office for discount tickets.

"I really enjoyed this event and was surprised to learn about the hotel discounts and prices available," said Nan Jinto, a Navy family member.
