Christmas lights on stop signs?
Did someone put Christmas lights on the stop signs on Saratoga Avenue at Mustin Road and on Child Street? The answer is no. The lights are on the signs to increase their visibility to drivers and hopefully reduce the number of accidents and tickets at those intersections.

Team NAS Jax earns Xtreme regional champ berth
Drew Miller, Mark Lassiter, Joshua Davidson and Amanda Steele of Team NAS Jax placed third with a time of 7:55:42 in the two-day Xtreme Challenge Adventure Race Dec, 7-8 outpacing forth and fifth place finishers Team Ott and Team Kings Bay. The team's third place finish secured a spot in the upcoming regional championship Feb. 17-19 in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Team Blackout from NAS Key West placed first with a time of 7:12:04, followed by Team This Won't Take Long of NS Mayport.

Operation Special Delivery provides birthing coaches
Are you faced with delivering your baby alone because your spouse or partner will be deployed when you give birth? Operation Special Delivery (OSD) provides free labor assistants called doulas for pregnant women whose husbands or partners are deployed at the time of their delivery.
