NAS Jax hosts Jacksonville Jaguars
NAS Jacksonville hosted a special group of visitors Nov. 25 as five Jacksonville Jaguars rookie players and several other staff members visited for a tour of the station. The tour was offered to give the new players an up-close and personal look at what life is like aboard a military installation and some of the jobs our servicemen and women perform.
CVW-8 marks one month in support of OEF
USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 concluded their first month of combat missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) after relieving USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) in the Arabian Sea Oct. 18. The NAS Jacksonville-based HS-3 "Tridents" is part of CVW-8.

After 63,399 drops into the pool at the Aviation Survival Training Center (ASTC) Jacksonville, the 9D5 underwater egress trainer - commonly known as the dunker - will soon be on its way to the scrap yard. The next-generation 9D6 trainer is replacing it.
