NAS Jax honors Sailors of the Quarter

NAS Jacksonville's leaders recognized the achievements of their Sailors Nov. 9 by hosting a Sailor of the Quarter (SOQ) Luncheon at the NAS Jax Officers' Club. The luncheon recognized 82 SOQs from each of NAS Jax's tenant commands and praise from many of NAS Jax's leaders. [ More ]

Traffic accidents happen every day aboard NAS Jacksonville just as they do outside the main gate. They happen for a variety of reasons with many different contributors such as location, weather and the driver's state of awareness.

Jacksonville Jaguars visit CNATTU Jax
The Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit (CNATTU) Jax recently had some visitors from the Jacksonville Jaguars stop by to offer some motivational speeches and sign autographs for the Sailors. The visit included Jaguars Maurice Williams, Stockar McDougle, Nick Greisen and Tony McDaniel.

FRCSE wins maintenance excellence award
The F404 Perform-ance Base Logistics (PBL) team from Fleet Readiness Center, Southeast (FRCSE) has won the Joint Depot Maintenance Excellence Team Award presented by the Joint Depot Mainten-ance Activities Group on behalf of the Joint Group-Depot Maintenance (JG-DM) at the annual Depart-ment of Defense Mainte-nance Symposium in Reno, Nev.

VETERANS DAY: Jacksonville honors those who have served
Thousands of area residents and tourists lined the streets in downtown Jacksonville Saturday, dressed in red, white and blue to honor those who have served and who are currently serving in our armed forces during the annual Veterans Day Parade. The event kicked off at 11:01 a.m. as members of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Motorcycle Unit cleared the streets. Leading the procession was Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton and several grand marshals.
