Mickey Rooney joins cast of USO 65th Anniversary Gala
Mickey Rooney and his wife, Jan, are joining the cast of the Greater Jacksonville Area USO 65th Anniversary Gala ''Thanks for the Memories'' this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Times-Union Performing Arts Center's Moran Theatre. The couple will sing the classic ''Let's Call the Whole Thing Off,'' a recording Rooney made with Judy Garland.

Navy Recruiting dives into NAS Jax Air Show
Navy Recruiting District Jackson-ville held a recruiting exhibition at the 2006 NAS Jax Air Show Oct. 27-29. The highlight of the exhibition was a 6,800-gallon portable dive tank from Navy Expeditionary Combat Command from Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Va.

2006 NAS Jax Air Show excites spectators of all ages
More than 250,000 spectators strolled the NAS Jacksonville flight line last weekend to enjoy the 2006 NAS Jax Air Show and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Navy's Flight Demonstration Team, the Blue Angels. Luckily, the weather held out and military and civilian performers treated visitors to three days of entertaining flying feats.
