SECNAV presents Department of Navy safety awards

NAS Jax hosts Fleet Diversity Council meeting
The Chief of Naval Operations sixth semi-annual Fleet Diversity Council was held at the NAS Jax Officers' Club Oct. 23 to educate Sailors, officers and civilians on the value of diversity and numerous Navy diversity initiatives. The council meeting specifically targeted participation from NAS Jacksonville and NS Mayport and NSB Kings Bay, Ga.

Two Jacksonville Sailors selected for Seaman to Admiral Program
Two Sailors stationed at NAS Jacksonville were recently accepted to the Seaman to Admiral (STA) Program.

Youth Activities Center caters to kids
The new state-of-the-art $3.3 million NAS Jax Youth Activities Center (YAC) offers a wide variety of activities for military children before and after school and during holiday breaks.
