FRCSE field team machinists support the warfighter around the world
It takes an exceptionally skilled artisan to accomplish repairs on the rolling deck of an aircraft carrier or on a sandy tarmac in theater. No matter where Navy aircraft fly around the world, when extensive repairs are needed, a "field team machinist" is called. At Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), skilled machinists work in production shops - but, when called, they also travel the world to provide on-site aircraft repair.

So, you want to ride with the Blues?
"'Level off! Knock it off!' Those are the words you say to your pilot whenever you feel unsafe or uncomfortable during your flight," said Marine Staff Sgt. Deo Harrypersaud, the crew chief of Blue Angel number seven, during his pre-flight brief for three VIP riders Oct. 22.

Air show sponsors take to sky
From the moment air show performers Harold "Andy" Anderson and a stern guy named "Ivan" strolled into the NAS Jax Air Operations Conference Room, the awaiting victims, err . . . sponsors, could tell it was going to be an unusual afternoon.

A jet-assisted ride in 'Fat Albert'
Apparently, when it comes to the Blue Angels entertainment factor - everybody wants to get in on the act - including their C-130T Hercules, known as "Fat Albert Airlines," that transports crew, spare parts and support equipment from event to event.
