Care packages for deployed co-workers
Anyone who has deployed, especially to the desert, knows some of the essentials of daily living aren't always readily available. Troops are often in need of toiletries to maintain good hygiene and recreational items to fill their idle time. Naval Hospital Jacksonville (NHJ) staff anticipated the needs of their deployed co-workers with Operation Donations for Troops, a Sept. drive that collected many basic necessities.

FASO disestablished
In an ongoing effort by the Navy to consolidate commands and reduce the budget, Fleet Aviation Specialized Operational Training Group, Atlantic Fleet, (FASOTRAGRULANT) Detachment Jacksonville was disestablished Oct. 1 and merged with the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit (CNATTU) Jax.

CBMU-202 pitches in with purple
The Seabees of Con-struction Battalion Maintenance Unit 202 (CBMU-202) Detach-ment Jacksonville fabricated more than 250 purple ribbons to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness month at NAS Jacksonville.
