VP-30 to hold change of command tomorrow
Capt. Richard Fite assumes command of VP-30 during a change of command ceremony tomorrow at Hangar 30, NAS Jacksonville. Fite relieves Capt. Tim Brewer, who has led VP-30 since August 2005. Retired Navy Rear Adm. Michael Holmes will be the guest speaker.

Matthews is new FRCSE CO
With the words "I relieve you sir," a salute, and a handshake, Capt. Timothy Matthews assumed command of Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Aug. 17. Matthews became the second commanding officer of FRCSE and the 37th commanding officer since the command was established in 1940. The guest speaker for the change of command was Vice Adm. Thomas Kilcline, commander, Naval Air Forces.

Wounded Marine mends at NavHosp Jax
Marine Corps Cpl. Matthew Corbin, a native of Bell, Fla., has seen military medicine come to his rescue and get him from a desolate area of Iraq to his family's arms. Naval Hospital Jacksonville provided him with top-notch care all along the way and he continues to be well cared for in his home state.

Multi-Cultural Awareness Fair '07
The Multi-Cultural Awareness Committee (MCAC) held its seventh annual Multi-Cultural Awareness Fair at the Bachelor Officer's Quarters Pavilion Aug. 24.
