Naval Hospital Jacksonville's Security Department has spearheaded a volunteer Adopt-A-Highway project, taking on clean up of a stretch of 103rd Street, near Chaffee Road.

CO retires tomorrow after 27 years service
NAS Jax Commanding Officer (CO) Capt. Chip Dobson will retire tomorrow during a change of command and retirement ceremony at 10 a.m. in Hangar 117. During the ceremony, Capt. John Scorby Jr. will assume command of NAS Jacksonville. Rear Adm. Hugo Blackwood, vice commander, Navy Region Southeast, will be the guest speaker.

Military resort caters to active-duty and families
Last month, my son, Dane, and I had the opportunity to spend 10 days touring Germany and visiting our relatives.
