'Blue' dreams come true for CNATTU Jax Sailor
AD1(AW/SW) Eva Takacs recently received word that one of her dreams is coming true. Takacs of the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Train-ing Unit (CNATTU) Jacksonville was notified that she landed a spot as a crewmember for the U.S. Naval Flight Demonstration Squadron, the "Blue Angels." She will be joining the elite Navy and Marine Corps flight demonstration team headquartered at NAS Pensacola this November.

HS-5 'Nightdippers' entertain media at sea
During any normal day at sea, the Navy's journalists, photographers and public affairs representatives work to tell the "Nightdipper's" story at sea.

Children hit tracks during Vacation Bible School
It was another successful year for Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the NAS Jax Chapel last week as 86 military children climbed aboard the Gospel Express (this year's theme) to participate in a wide variety of activities offered by a handful of dedicated volunteers.

NAS Postal Employee says goodbye
David Kistler has seen a lot during the 20 years he has served at NAS Jackson-ville's Post Office. He first came aboard the base in 1986 as a window clerk in the old wooden post office on Saratoga Avenue next to the former Jacksonville Navy Credit Union before moving to the current building on Child Street a few years ago.
