NAS Jax Sailor, wife chosen 'Foster Parents of the Year'
AC1(AW/SW) Nathaniel Alspaugh of the NAS Jack-sonville Air Operations De-partment and his wife, Sarah, have been selected as the Children's Home Society (CHS) Buckner Division Foster Parents of the Year for 2008. The Alspaughs were recognized during the annual CHS Awards Luncheon Under the Tent event March 18.

300 MPRF aviators to gather at NAS Jax
For the first time, the annual Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Force (MPRF) Symposium will be hosted by Commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing (CPRW) 11 and VP-30, March 30-April 3 at NAS Jacksonville.

Spring cleanup spotlights environmental commitment
NAS Jax Sailors and civilians joined forces March 19 during the annual base-wide cleanup. Participants enjoyed warm, sunny temperatures while picking up cigarette butts, paper, cans and other trash that had collected around the base. More than 350 base personnel spent a full morning cleaning up the base, and ultimately removing more than 5,000 pounds of debris.

Congressional staffers visit station
NAS Jacksonville Commanding Officer Capt. Jack Scorby Jr. and other tenant command leadership met with congressional staffers March 14 as they toured various commands and facilities aboard the station.
