HS-3 "Tridents" support task force

The NAS Jacksonville-based "Tridents" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 3 continue to soar above the Gulf of Aden last week in support of maritime security operations aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Antonio (LPD 17). San Antonio is part of USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group and serves as the command ship for Combined Task Force (CTF) 151, which conducts counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. Navy mandates ESR accounts
The Chief of Navy Personnel released a NAVADMIN Feb. 5 announcing the requirement for all active-duty and Reserve personnel to establish and maintain a self-service Electronic Service Record (ESR) account within the next 60 days.

HSM-70 leads new era in sea control
The commander of the first East Coast helicopter maritime strike squadron to fly the new MH-60R Seahawk passed his unit's commissioning pennant to commander, Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing, U.S. Atlantic Fleet at the HSM-70 establishment ceremony aboard NAS Jacksonville Feb. 12.
