NAS Brunswick holds informational fair
More than 130 service members and their families at NAS Brunswick attended an informational fair Jan. 29 sponsored by NAS Brunswick and NAS Jacksonville to help prepare those Sailors moving to Florida when the base closes in March 2011.

Navy band spreads the 'sound of music'
Navy Band Southeast (NBSE) continues its tradition of playing all the right notes and spreading the music. Established in 1995 to support official functions, recruiting events and community relations, the Navy band members are adept at playing to audiences with wide-ranging musical tastes.

Annual CFC drive exceeds $2 million
A grand celebration held Feb. 3 at the NAS Jacksonville Officers' club officially ended the 2008 Northeast Florida-Southeast Georgia Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).

HSM-70 "Spartans" stand up at NAS Jacksonville
The "Spartans" of HSM-70 will be established as the first operational MH-60R helicopter squadron in the U.S. Atlantic Fleet during a ceremony at NAS Jacksonville today at 10 a.m. Cmdr. William Walsh will assumed command and gain the honor of being the plank owner commanding officer.

No 'boneyard' for Vikings
Two S-3B Viking aircraft from recently deactivated VS-22 took off from NAS Jacksonville Feb. 5 and flew to their new home with Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 30 at Naval Air Weapons Station, Point Mugu, Calif.
