VS-22 pathway to disestablishment
After 49 years of service, the VS-22 "Checkmates" will disestablish Jan. 29 at NAS Jacksonville. This is their legacy.
Making the grade as a Navy rescue swimmer
"The U.S. Navy Rescue Swimmer School (RSS) at NAS Jax impacts fleet readiness virtually around the world," said Officer in Charge Lt. Thomas Doane. "Our classes are filled with Sailors from as far away as Japan, Hawaii and San Diego - and as close as Mayport and Norfolk."
NAVFAC Southeast makes holiday donations
The employees of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast donated toys and non-perishable items to assist local Jacksonville families in need during this past holiday season.
